What do the election results mean for environment and cleantech businesses?

A post-election panel discussion

Ontarians now face a very different government reality than they have for the past eight years.  What will the new minority Liberal government that was elected on October 6 mean for environment and cleantech businesses?   Given the enormous impact that government policies have on Ontario’s $8-billion environment and cleantech industry, the results raise a number of questions, including:

    •    What environmental and business policies is the new government likely to pursue at a time of growing concerns about the economy?

    •    Where will the new government go with the Green Energy Act, the Feed-In Tariff and other measures intended to encourage renewable energy?

    •    Is the ongoing modernization of approvals process at the Ministry of Environment going to continue at the same pace – or will it be accelerated?

    •    What will the new government do with the HST and other tax incentives and support programs for environment and cleantech companies?

The Ontario Environment Industry Association (ONEIA) is pleased to present a panel of environment industry experts to discuss the election results and what they mean for your business.   Join us for a lively discussion and business networking.
