Municipalika, organized by Fairfest Media Limited, is an annual international forum consisting of a trade show and conference to share strategies and technologies to develop smart, sustainable cities and collectively find solutions to urban challenges. The show, which attracts governments, entrepreneurs, technology companies, engineering firms, construction companies and other service providers, takes place in different cities in India each year. The 2020 trade show hosted about 2,000 attendees, international country pavilions, state pavilions, and municipal corporations, in addition to 12,000+ urban professionals and 170+ solution providers exhibiting their technologies.
The Government of Ontario invites you to join an infrastructure export business mission to Municipalika in India. Ontario companies involved in infrastructure, technology and construction participating in the mission will receive targeted assistance from the Ontario government.

The mission will offer delegates a clear understanding of the opportunities in the Indian infrastructure and smart cities environment. The Indian government, which is developing 100 smart cities, plans to invest heavily in the infrastructure sector, including highways, railways, ports, airports, renewable energy, smart cities, and transportation to meet the challenges associated with significant urban growth. A total investment of U.S.$29 billion has been proposed by the 100 cities, with 5,151 projects. Projects worth U.S.$5.7 billion are still in the pipeline. Impacts of India’s smart city ambitions include: Ease of living; smart governance/intelligent traffic management systems; connected communities; urban resilience; and sustainability.
