SPEAKERS:

Muriel Cookey, Corporate Strategist in Clean Growth and Sustainable Development

Muriel is a Corporate Strategist for the Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources and Renewables, Canada, where she works on complex strategies, regulatory development, policies, programs, and major initiatives relating to clean growth, clean energy resources, GHG reduction, job creation, and the overall transition to a low-carbon economy.

Muriel is a licensed lawyer with vast experience working with regulators, utilities, developers, consultants, and financiers to facilitate the development and integration of renewable energy projects. She has held Associate roles in leading law firms ranked by Chambers Global and ILFR1000 and has a strong background in providing policy, legal, and regulatory support for a wide range of corporate and commercial projects. She holds a Master's in Oil, Gas, and Mining Law and a Bachelor's in Law and Business from Nottingham Trent University.

She is committed to the growth, advancement, and recognition of women in the energy sector and participates in several global energy professional networks. She is a member of Women in Renewable Energy (WiRE) and volunteers as a chapter lead and a member of the international committee.

Dr. Segun Adaju, CEO, Consistent Energy and President, Renewable Energy Association of Nigeria.

Dr. Segun Adaju is a clean energy specialist with special focus on financing and project management. His passion has always been to create economic opportunities for the base of the Pyramid (BoP) through innovative solutions that improve the capacity of the poor to earn more income thereby taking them out of poverty. This passion has seen him transform from a core commercial and retail banker to microfinancing and now clean energy finance and development. He is currently a Coach/Mentor under CTI PFAN to support the West African Forum for Clean Energy Financing (WAFCEF).
